IPA reacts to DCMS Report on Disinformation and Fake News

The IPA fully advocates the DCMS proposal for a public and searchable repository – something it called for in its written evidence to the Select Committee back in July – to aid transparency of online political advertising. This will provide recipients with relevant information to allow them to identify the source of the ad, who uploaded it, who sponsored it, and its country of origin. Barnardo’s celebrates success of anti-bullying programme in schools: LGBT History Month

Leading children’s charity Barnardo’s is celebrating training over 8,000 staff and over 640 parent, community and pupil ambassadors through an anti-homophobic, biphobic and transphobic (HBT) bullying programme. The work, which is funded by the Government Equalities Office and supported by the Department for Education, is in schools across Yorkshire & Humberside. Barnardo’s Positive Identities service delivered 411 sessions in 162 schools over the last 21 months.
