AEG Launches Annual Season of Giving with #SpreadCheer Challenge

In recognition of National Philanthropy Day and celebrating the start of its annual Season of Giving, AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, has launched the #SpreadCheer Challenge, an online digital campaign that will provide four AEG Community Foundation grant recipients — America SCORES, Los Angeles Brotherhood Crusade, Make-A-Wish Hawaii and Playworks — with an opportunity to earn an additional $25,000 grant from the AEG Community Foundation.

Beginning today and running through December 15, people across the world will have the opportunity to visit www.aegspreadcheer.com and play an online tile-matching game, where they can earn game points by securing a match or completing the game. Players can then designate their game points to one of the four nonprofit organizations. The organization with the most points by 11:59 p.m. PT on December 15, will be awarded an additional $25,000 grant.

“As we enter the holiday season, the #SpreadCheer Challenge is a unique and fun way for us to shine a spotlight on the important work that our partners are doing in their communities,” said Martha Saucedo, Executive Vice President, External Affairs, AEG. “AEG is committed to giving back to the communities where we do business and we are proud to partner with America SCORES, Brotherhood Crusade, Make-A-Wish Hawaii and Playworks in support of their efforts to improve the lives of children and youth in our communities.”

  • America SCORES is a national nonprofit organization that inspires urban youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. The organization partners with urban public schools to hire and train teachers to coach students in soccer, poetry and service learning.

  • Los Angeles Brotherhood Crusade is a 50-year old grassroots organization with a vision of transforming the quality of life and meeting the unmet needs of low-income, underserved, under-represented and disenfranchised individuals through Learning (Literacy), Thriving (Health, Wellness & Enrichment, Connecting (Social Emotional Learning), Leading (Civic & Community Engagement), Working (Life Skills & Employment) at all times.
  • Make-A-Wish Hawaii creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The organization has granted over 1,300 wishes for children across the state of Hawaii since 1982 and has hosted more than 14,000 others for children around the world. These wishes transform the lives of children, their families, volunteers, supporters, medical professionals and entire communities by sparking imagination and delivering strength.
