BBH NY is Named Agency of Record for CARE

BBH NY has announced that it has been selected as advertising agency of record by CARE, the leading humanitarian organization dedicated to fighting global poverty. BBH NY is charged with developing a new integrated marketing campaign designed to raise awareness of CARE’s global efforts.

Founded in 1945, CARE is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that works in over 90 countries, helping people lift themselves out of poverty. Last year, the organization supported 962 poverty-fighting and humanitarian aid projects, reaching more than 80 million people around the world. The empowerment of women and girls is at the heart of CARE’s humanitarian efforts, recognizing the fact that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.

BBH won the business in an agency review overseen by CARE’s John Aylward, who joined the nonprofit under a year ago in a newly-created post as Chief Marketing Officer. Aylward had previously held senior marketing roles at HSN, Starbucks, Gap and DSW.

“We were won over by BBH NY’s genuine passion for our cause and by a very powerful creative idea they shared,” said Aylward. “BBH NY proved to be the ideal partner not only because of its sharp insights about CARE, but also its experience in the nonprofit sector in general. We have a lot of confidence that their work will help us capture the awareness we need to achieve our ambitious fundraising goals and defeat poverty.”

“We’re honored to be selected as the agency of record for CARE,” said Anthony Romano, CEO, BBH NY. “The amazing work CARE does every day to empower women and support millions of poverty-stricken people around the world had a profound impact on our entire agency. To do what we love every day and do it for a cause that makes a real difference in the world is such a rare privilege.”

BBH NY will partner with the nonprofit fundraising specialist agency of record, Social Capital, who will manage the planning and implementation of donor support and activation programs.
