CIPR to launch video campaign supporting business comms for a no deal Brexit

The CIPR will shortly be launching a series of video shorts advising businesses on communicating effectively in advance of a no deal Brexit. The initiative is financed with £146,000 from the government’s Business Readiness Fund.

The videos – designed for a range of small businesses – will feature public relations practitioners providing advice on general preparation related to PR activities, for specific sectors including Transport, Health and Construction as well as for small and medium-sized PR agencies.

Most businesses in the UK are SMEs and many have not yet prepared for a no deal Brexit. How they communicate with their stakeholders in the final days before we leave the EU may be crucial to their future success. Our role at the CIPR is to help SMEs communicate effectively in these uncertain times – these videos will provide some certainty.
Alastair McCapra, CIPR Chief Executive

The videos and social media campaign are being developed and delivered for the CIPR by Launch PR. Funding for the campaign follows a successful bid from the CIPR made to the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) ‘Business Readiness Fund.’ As part of the agreement, CIPR will be measuring the impact of the campaign and reporting on it to BEIS.

The videos will be shared in paid promotion campaigns on social media between 16 October and 31 October. Their content is entirely advice on business communications and is not of a political nature.
