Dave Chappelle promotes New Netflix show with charitable campaign

American stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle is promoting his new Netflix show with a charitable campaign for The Ellington Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization established in 1978 to serve as the charitable arm of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts (DESA). The Ellington Fund administers and supports several programs and activities at DESA that are not funded by the DC Public School System (DCPS). This innovative campaign is part of the promotional strategy for his Netflix New Year’s Eve special, Equanimity. Chappelle, has taken to the website theCHIVE to urge fans to take pictures of themselves holding a cutout of him at landmarks around the globe.

TheChive website says:

“Chivers! Dave Chappelle is helping us bring in 2018 right with his new comedy special, premiering on Netflix this New Year’s Eve. We want everyone to enjoy the holiday season with Dave leading up to his New Year’s Eve specials, so we’re going to be sweetening everyone’s Chivery orders this month by throwing a HollaDave for all to enjoy! Take him to parties, share him with co-workers, bring him on vacation, or stick him on your champagne flute for a toast when the ball drops.

Here’s the catch: we want you to post a picture of HollaDave to Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, and tag #ChappelleParty.

Post to Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using #ChappelleParty and we’ll donate $1 to Duke Ellington School of the Arts in D.C

Use your imagination and have fun with HollaDave! If you don’t get him delivered from the Chivery, you can just download one of the Daves below to your desktop or mobile device to paste in images, or print him for decoration. Here are just some of the ways you can enjoy your #ChappelleParty.”
