Digital influencers join forces with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

A group of digital influencers from across the country will partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital© for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, engaging with their followers to build awareness and help end childhood cancer.

These official St. Jude digital ambassadors for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month represent communities from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. While they cover such diverse topics as travel, lifestyle, family and fitness, they are united by the mission of St. Jude: Finding cures. Saving children®. Many of them also will be participating in St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer events in their local communities.

Several of the influencers recently visited the St. Jude campus to meet with childhood cancer survivors and learn more about how St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

From stories of survivorship to the groundbreaking discoveries and incomparable quality of care at St. Jude, the visit left a lasting impact on the group. The influencers were deeply moved by the vision of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas, whose belief that “no child should die in the dawn of life” still drives the extraordinary work being done at the hospital, including discoveries that are freely shared around the world so that doctors and scientists can save thousands more children.

“This incredibly talented group will bring the story of St. Jude to even more people in a way that both educates and inspires,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “We celebrate this new engagement and look forward to seeing it grow as these influencers help us continue to focus on what matters most – finding cures and saving children.”

The eight official digital ambassadors will collaborate with St. Jude throughout September, using their platforms to mobilize communities and build on the sense of togetherness that unites millions of supporters for the hospital each year.

They will share original content, including stories, photos and videos, as well as rally their supporters to participate and fundraise for their local St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer events.

  • Emelia Cellura of Half-Crazy Mama in San Francisco.
