PRCA joins European Public Relations Education and Research Association

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has become an institutional member of the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA).

EUPRERA is an autonomous organisation with nearly 500 members from 40 countries which has the aim of advancing academic research and knowledge in strategic communication. It offers a forum for ground breaking ideas, in order to develop innovative management practices.

EUPRERA organises a highly regarded annual congress each autumn in collaboration with a selected university or college in Europe. Affiliated universities, which also includes several in the US, Malaysia and all of the Antipodes among the Europeans, may also lead cross-national and comparative research and education projects on behalf of EUPRERA.

The PRCA’s representative within EUPRERA is Sue Wolstenholme MPRCA, Managing Director, Ashley Public Relations Ltd, who formerly represented the CIPR within the association. She was also EUPRERA’s President for two years and led their jury to find the best research in communication annually for 18 years. She said: “I’m delighted to be representing PRCA to my colleagues in EUPRERA and hope to encourage many of them to become involved in a number of PRCA’s initiatives.”

Francis Ingham MPRCA, Director General, PRCA, said: “We are very pleased to become members of EUREPRA, which provides a hugely important role in the development of new innovative ideas in the field of PR and communications. It is especially pleasing that we do so led by Sue, who comes with an in-depth knowledge of the association.”
