Responding to details of the settlement scheme for European Union citizens who wish to stay in the UK after Brexit, the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has welcomed the announcement.
Francis Ingham MPRCA, Director General, PRCA, said: “5% of the UK PR and communications workforce – 4,300 non-UK EU citizens – just received the sort of promises and details they have been waiting for since the referendum result.
“One-in-twenty PR and communications practitioners have just been given the clarity they – and their families, partners, and employers – deserve.”
“The sole barrier to working in our industry should be talent, and the Government’s ‘default position’ of granting status will alleviate a great deal of anxiety for the future.”
