ShopNowToFund Announces Food Bank: #Food4Florence Relief Campaign

New “conscious shopping” ecommerce marketplace, ShopNowToFund, launches #Food4Florence social campaign aimed at raising funds to deliver boxes of nonperishable food items to those stranded in the wake of hurricane Florence.

The ShopNowToFund (SNTF) Food Bank #Food4Florence mission is to galvanize Americans in support of those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Florence. ShopNowToFund is working hand in hand with Courage Forward, a 501(c) and approved FEMA distributor, in conjunction with the National Guard and UPS, to supply and deliver boxes of nonperishable food items to families left stranded in the aftermath of the hurricane. A $40 donation will provide a family of four the staples they need for three days of relief – a lifeline to sustenance.  Supporters can also shop in the SNTF marketplace for personal goods where 40% of their purchases will be allocated to the purchase of a Food Bank box.

“ShopNowToFund is a platform my sister and I founded to empower individuals by giving them an easy and efficient way to raise funds to continue and sustain efforts with do-good causes in communities. We are proud to execute the Food Bank initiative and be one of the first to respond when a natural disaster strikes. From the 2005 Tsunami in Sri Lanka, we know first-hand what it is like to be trapped by a natural disaster – and understand the vital importance of providing food and necessities to those affected by the event,” says Shehan Rajaratnam, ShopNowToFund’s CEO

ShopNowToFund launched the Food Bank fundraising campaign today across Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram with a strong call-to-action to empower the nation to open their hearts to helping their fellow Americans.  The initiative will culminate on Thursday at 10am at the SNTF headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, California where volunteers, veterans, sports and entertainment influencers will come together to package and ship donated boxes.
