The disabled community controls $13 trillion in buying power and represents 15 percent of the global population (1.85 billion people). Getty Images, Verizon Media and the National Disability Leadership Alliance reach new milestone in pursuit of authentic visual representation of people with disabilities

On Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Getty Images, Verizon Media, and the National Disability Leadership Alliance (NDLA) celebrate the anniversary of The Disability Collection. Launched one year ago to champion authentic representation, the collection has grown to include over 1,000 curated images devoted to portraying individuals with disabilities more accurately.
