TEAM LEWIS Foundation released findings from a new global survey conducted in support of HeForShe which reveals the challenges women face in an increasingly digital world.  HeForShe is the United Nations Women’s entity for engaging men and boys in support of gender equality and empowerment of women.  The study shows that, despite improvements around women in senior management roles, job security and financial rewards for women are still lagging. TEAM LEWIS Foundation has released findings from a new global survey conducted with HeForShe, the UN Women’s entity for engaging men and boys in support of gender equality and empowerment of women. The global study revealed the new challenges gender equality now faces.  The study shows that gender equality has lost ground to other societal issues. As a consequence of the global COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people now find themselves indoors. Gender inequalities, particularly of women in the home, are becoming increasingly apparent when it comes to housework, cleaning and caring for children, the sick or the elderly. HeForShe, the UN Women solidarity movement for gender equality, is embarking on its third #GetFree University Tour and this year, with a focus on engaging students in Canada to take action for a gender equal world. This year’s tour is building on the success of the inaugural 2015 #GetFree Tour in the UK and France that reached over 140,000 students and the US-based 2018 #GetFree Tour that reached over 85,000 students.
