Oxfam appoints independent commission to review safeguarding

Oxfam has appointed Zainab Bangura, a former Under-Secretary General of the United Nations, and Katherine Sierra, a former Vice-President of the World Bank, to co-chair an independent commission to review its culture and safeguarding system. The setting up of an independent commission is one part of the action plan Oxfam announced to minimise the risk of sexual abuse and root it out wherever it occurs.
