United Nations Global Compact Launches Principles for Sustainable Ocean Business

The United Nations Global Compact today launched a set of nine Sustainable Ocean Principles, calling on companies around the world to commit to securing a healthy and productive ocean. The health of the ocean has been rapidly deteriorating in recent years, largely due to climate change as well as the over-exploitation of natural resources, habitat destruction, pollution and littering.
