TechStyle Fashion Group Launches “The Future of Women” Campaign on International Day of the Girl to Inspire Women and Girls

TechStyle Fashion Group, the world’s leading membership-based fashion company, has marked the United Nations’ International Day of the Girl with the launch of The Future of Women, a public awareness campaign that will celebrate and amplify the stories of trailblazing women around the world. The initiative aims to shine a spotlight on the diverse journeys of powerful, creative and innovative women, making inspirational female role models accessible to women and girls everywhere.

TheFutureofWomen.org and Instagram @WhatsYourHeadline features an expanding gallery of striking portraits taken by renowned photographer Amanda Demme. Demme, an award winning photographer and boundary-breaker herself, sought to capture the essence of women who have challenged the status quo. Above each portrait are telling headlines revealing the admirable women’s chief contributions, accompanied by text detailing their accomplishments. The portraits, headlines and narratives serve to raise awareness of female leadership, help girls feel empowered, and encourage other women to achieve their goals by asking them, “What Will Your Headline Be?”

“As a company with more than 60% women in executive positions, we know firsthand the powerful impact female leadership can have on young women,” said Shawn Gold, Corporate Marketing Officer, TechStyle Fashion Group. “We are proud to be allies of female empowerment and want to use our global platform to share the stories of fearless women who lead by example. I hope that through the Future of Women we can do our part to push for continued societal change and ensure women everywhere have the confidence they need to chase their dreams.”

“Daring women who take risks have always served as a source of inspiration for my work,” commented Demme. “Joining forces with TechStyle to profile inspirational female figures has been a joy, and I’m honored to continue lending my photography to the initiative. I hope that the portraits I capture can spark intrigue and help challenge gender stereotypes.”

The Future of Women will build momentum around female fellowship and empowerment by promoting these stories across TechStyle’s digital and social platforms as well as through creative collaborations with influencers, media partners, and other organizations. The campaign launch is supported by PopSugar, a media platform dedicated to powering the optimism and dreams of women around the world, as well as WORLDZ, the global innovation summit; the Near Future Summit; and TechStyle brands Savage X Fenty, JustFab, Fabletics, ShoeDazzle and Fabkids. TechStyle, together with Demme, will continue photographing accomplished women around the world while presenting their portraits and stories in a gallery-like setting at women’s conferences and events. Women and girls everywhere will be encouraged to engage with the campaign by sharing their dreams in headline form, alongside Future of Women participants.

Women lending their voices and stories to the campaign launch include: Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud, Vice President, Saudi Arabian General Sports Authority; Jameela Jamil, actor, activist and founder of the “I Weigh” social movement; Anna Lewis, international policy advisor; Miyoko Schinner, vegan chef; Lakshmi Pratury, STEM entrepreneur and CEO of INK; Brand Tippins, justice reform activist; and Lori Park, one of the first female engineers at Google. www.TheFutureofWomen.org will be updated continuously with new inspirational profiles.
