Timelapse Co. Pledges to Plant Trees With One Tree Planted

Los Angeles-based jewelry accessories company Timelapse Co. today has announced their partnership with One Tree Planted, a Vermont-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, to combat the effects of deforestation around the globe. Since 2014, One Tree Planted has been working with reforestation organizations worldwide that need financial support in their efforts to plant additional trees.

As a part of their effort to get involved, Timelapse Co. has announced a One-For-One campaign, whereby Timelapse Co. will donate a portion of every sale made to planting a tree. While the objective of the campaign focuses on planting trees primarily in Timelapse Co.’s home state of California, the company also aims to assist reforestation efforts in other regions that have been particularly impacted by the fashion industry, such as Indonesia.

“We’re absolutely delighted to launch this initiative, as it’s a campaign that means a lot personally to all involved in our company,” said Michael Westerband, Founder and CEO of Timelapse Co. “It’s often cited that the fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries behind big oil, and we want to be a part of the solution, not the problem. Given that our products are made nearly entirely from recycled materials, this initiative pairs perfectly with our continued sustainability as a brand.”

While the new partnership aims to bolster the company’s conservation and sustainability practices, Timelapse Co. remains committed to craftsmanship and superlative quality reflective of the brand. With collections that aim to inspire wearers to live life in the present moment, each piece is handcrafted in-house in their Los Angeles facility by their artisan designers and world-class jewelers.
