Wavemaker Wins Both Sponsorship of the Year and Sponsorship Agency of the Year

Wavemaker UK and its specialist WM Content division, are celebrating a host of award wins today after scooping six coveted trophies at the UK Sponsorship Awards and one silver at the Influencer Marketing Awards.

As well as being crowned overall ‘Sponsorship Agency of the Year’ at last night’s 25th UK Sponsorship Awards, Wavemaker saw its work on evian’s Wimbledon 2018 campaign revealed as the Sponsorship of the Year winner.

The campaign also picked up three other awards in the Sport, Brand and Branded Content categories. Evian’s pioneering partnership with Wimbledon brought the brand to life across all touchpoints as never before, and as a result, exceeded its objectives, increasing brand preference, driving consumer propensity to purchase and boosting sales in major retailers.

In addition, Vodafone’s VOXI: Launching a brand in under 10 seconds – orchestrated by Wavemaker, picked up ‘Best Use of Celebrity & Influencer Endorsement in Sponsorship’.

A UK Sponsorship award is well regarded as an accolade for the sponsorship industry that acknowledges and celebrates excellence and effectiveness and clearly portrays how sponsorship can be an effective marketing platform for businesses across a variety of sectors.

Wavemaker’s work for Screwfix was also highly commended in the TV Sponsorship category. The campaign saw Screwfix use its broadcast sponsorship of ITV’s 2018 FIFA World Cup coverage as a platform to create mass talkability.

Across town, Wavemaker were also celebrating a Silver win at the Influencer Marketing Awards for their work with Nationwide on the hugely impactful #togetheragainsthate campaign.
