Research reveals consumer demand for climate change labelling

Two-thirds (67%) of consumers support the idea of a recognisable carbon label to demonstrate that products have been made with a commitment to measuring and reducing their carbon footprint, according to new international research released by the Carbon Trust. The YouGov study of more than 9,000 consumers, across the USA, UK, Italy, Canada, Spain, the Netherlands and Sweden also highlighted the potential brand benefits from taking action on climate change. Grant Fund Announced To Scale Paper Cup Recycling Across The UK

Environmental charity, Hubbub, has announced the launch of The Cup Fund, to kickstart paper cup recycling programmes in locations across the U.K. The Cup Fund will support at least 10 large-scale recycling  programmes, offering grants of between £50,000 and  £100,000 based on the specific needs of each application to develop long term infrastructure and ensure cups are collected and sent for recycling. PRCA announces it’s time to act on the Apprenticeship Levy

As part of its PR Apprentice programme, The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) has issued a call to action regarding the Apprenticeship Levy. The Apprenticeship Levy is a UK tax on employers which can be used to fund apprenticeship training.
