CAF grants record £702 million to charities

Charitable organisations around the world benefitted from more than £702 million paid out from the Charities Aid Foundation in 2019/20 in another record year for giving via CAF. Spending data indicates carbon emissions remain 14% lower than in 2019

New data analysis reveals that the carbon emissions resulting from six key consumer spending categories fell by almost a third during the national lockdown, with year-on-year emissions remaining much lower than in 2019. Tesco creates 16,000 new permanent roles

Tesco has announced that it will create 16,000 new permanent roles to support the exceptional growth in its online business. These 16,000 jobs are in addition to the 4,000 permanent jobs already created since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
