Fundraising Regulator publishes fourth Annual Complaints Report

The Fundraising Regulator has published its fourth Annual Complaints Report, which analyses complaints we have received over the past year, alongside complaints reported by some of the UK’s largest charities.  Complaints to the Fundraising Regulator from members of the public have increased marginally by 13% compared to last year. In total, we received 836 complaints, compared to 737 in 2018/19. The methods of fundraising most complained about to us were charity bags (22%), online fundraising (11%) and face-to-face fundraising (11%). LSE launches ambitious plan to embed environmental sustainability across its operations

LSE has launched its plan to tackle the climate crisis and announced it will be the first UK university to become carbon neutral, for all the emissions it currently measures. This status will be achieved through ongoing work by the School to reduce its carbon footprint and by offsetting residual emissions through the funding of carbon reduction projects elsewhere. FareShare awarded £16m grant from DEFRA to help feed vulnerable people this winter

Britvic announces move to 100% recycled plastic bottles in Great Britain by the end of 2022

Britvic has announced its intent for all plastic bottles in GB to be made from 100% recycled plastic (rPET) by the end of 2022 – three years earlier than originally planned, and ahead of the previous target of 50%.
