Policies, plan and implementation

Sustainability and health
Agadir is investing in sustainable development and launching a programme to raise awareness, provide ongoing training and improve well-being. This programme includes initiatives to enhance soft mobility, improve local sports facilities, boost awareness, increase medical support and establish a regional residential centre for people in difficult circumstances.
Equity and inclusion
The city fosters inclusive learning environments through initiatives that support economically disadvantaged students, provide second-chance educational opportunities, empower women and enhance accessibility for visually impaired individuals. Additionally, the city backs women’s sports associations and helps immigrant integrate into society, for example by providing access to student transportation.
Decent work and entrepreneurship
Agadir promotes decent work by rehabilitating the craft trade, raising awareness of good working practices and combating child labour. The city promotes entrepreneurship through the creation of innovation centres, platforms for young entrepreneurs and specialized companies.

Good practices

Literacy programme for women
This literacy programme for people with low literacy offers literacy courses in social centres in local neighbourhoods, mainly aimed at women.
‘Maison digitale’ (Digital houses)
Agadir is launching a support programme for migrants and refugees, encouraging them to participate in vocational training and integrate into the labour market. Digital houses and digital caravans are being developed to encourage digital inclusion and raise awareness among young people of the opportunities offered by the digital world, including courses in programming, e-commerce and environmental protection.
