Policies, plan and implementation

Sustainability and health
Khon Kaen focuses on the synergy between good health and effective learning as part of its sustainable education strategy. The city conducts health screenings for students and runs specialized initiatives, such as the Teachers, Doctors and Parents project, to offer comprehensive support to students with special needs, underscoring the city’s commitment to well-being.
Equity and inclusion
The city is dedicated to educational equity and inclusion for all age groups. Through initiatives like the 360° Classroom, the city aims to leave no one behind. Specialized projects target learners with particular difficulties and children with health issues, offering tailored educational opportunities. Scholarships for economically disadvantaged children and skills training for marginalized groups further ensure inclusive education.
Decent work and entrepreneurship
Khon Kaen has developed a three-pronged strategy focusing on knowledge, the job market and community entrepreneurship opportunities. Relevant initiatives include setting up funds and markets like TUNG TUA Market and skills training programmes, such as the Rom Yen Fabric Group, aimed at strengthening the grassroots economy and promoting sustainable living.
