Policies, plan and implementation

Sustainability and health
Initiatives like Desplastifícate, Manos a la Tierra, and Ruta Cero engage citizens in environmental protection. To address health concerns, La Paz prioritizes learning for well-being, implementing mental health campaigns, urban orchard programmes and health education to change eating habits and encourage physical activity, particularly among economically disadvantaged residents.
Equity and inclusion
Aware of a reduced number of public learning spaces and the existence of a gap in women's access to technical training, La Paz collaborates with non-governmental organizations to equip and enhance its educational programmes. The municipality has also developed a virtual learning platform and initiatives to link girls and women to technical and professional education.
Decent work and entrepreneurship
La Paz has implemented 91 programmes to enhance employment skills, entrepreneurship and gender equality in the workforce. Initiatives like the Yeey Ethnic Market, Youth Entrepreneurship, and Employment Training Courses provide specialized training opportunities. These projects are conducted in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Baja California and local businesses.

The alliance’s central objective is to reduce and eliminate single-use plastic, starting with styrofoam containers, straws and plastic bags.
‘Impulso’ (Impulse)
Launched by the municipal government, this programme offers children and young people across La Paz the opportunity to engage in free sports and cultural activities.
