We want to enable and inspire people to live more sustainably, so we’re focusing on money-saving, affordable, resource and energy-efficient products. With our energy-saving solutions, we’re paving the way for more sustainable homes for the many.

What "sustainable" means?

At IKEA, we want to have a positive impact on people, society and the planet. For us, it’s about balancing economic growth and positive social impact with environmental protection and regeneration. To meet the challenges of unsustainable consumption, climate change and growing inequality, IKEA is taking ambitious steps towards a more sustainable future for the many people through collaboration with partners, co-workers and customers. Our three focus areas are: Healthy and sustainable living, being Circular and climate-positive and contributing to fair and equal society.

We’ve set ambitious goals. This includes committing to becoming climate positive by 2030. This means reducing more greenhouse gas emissions than the full IKEA value chain emits, while growing the IKEA business.
