Walsall student joins WaterAid in ground-breaking scheme

Zainab Alam, 19 from Walsall, has become one of the UK’s first students enrolled in a degree dedicated to social change. Zainab will split her time between studying at London’s Queen Mary University and working as an apprentice at international charity WaterAid.  It was the problems of local gang violence and drugs that inspired Zainab to seek a career in the charitable sector. Politicians From Across The Divides Back Aberlour’s Child Poverty Campaign

MSPs from all five elected parties to the Scottish Parliament have backed Aberlour Child Care Trust’s campaign to tackle child poverty and inequality in Scotland. More than forty politicians from the Conservatives, Greens, Labour, Liberal Democrats and SNP have agreed with Aberlour that a ‘bad start to life shouldn’t mean a bad end’ and have signed pledges this week at a special parliament exhibition held by Aberlour. AB Sugar are excited to announce that the winners of the Innovate Irrigation Challenge are two graduate civil engineers from Uganda – Samuel Mukisa and Yvonne Nalinnya. British Youth Council takes part in annual ‘Big Give’

Recruitment consultancy Robert Walters Group UK donated £25,428 this year towards their chosen charity – Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity.
