Refuge has launched an online chatbot which aims to provide safe and accessible information to thousands of women across the country experiencing abuse through technology. In 2019, 72% of women who accessed support from Refuge services identified experiencing tech abuse, which can range from persistent telephone calls from perpetrators, being targeted via social media, having their location tracked or spyware installed in their homes. City of London’s Beech Street set to become UK’s first 24/7 zero emission street

The City of London Corporation has backed plans to launch the UK’s first 24/7 zero emission street in a bid to improve air quality in the Square Mile. Beech Street, much of which runs under the Barbican Estate, is now expected to be restricted to zero emission vehicles*, cyclists and pedestrians by Spring 2020, pending final approval by Transport for London (TfL). London Stansted the first major airport in the UK to trial fully compostable security bags

London Stansted is to become the first major airport in the UK to trial the use of fully compostable security bags for passengers carrying liquids in their hand luggage. If successful, the new product could replace the 11 million non-compostable plastic bags which are currently handed out in the terminal every year.
