Planet Mark is pleased to announce an exciting new chapter in its journey, appointing Avital Johanan as Managing Director to lead the business. She succeeds Founder Steve Malkin, who after 12 years at the helm will step into a new Founder and Senior Advisor role, where he will continue to champion Planet Mark’s community of members and partners.
Avi, who joined Planet Mark in 2024 as Chief Product Officer, has been instrumental in reshaping its offering to empower businesses of every size to measure and reduce carbon emissions. With a strong background in data products and business transformation – including senior leadership roles at IHS Markit (now S&P Global) – she brings a track record of turning complex business challenges into scalable, technology-enabled solutions.
Planet Mark, recognised internationally for its Net Zero Certification Programme, will be accelerating its focus on supply chain risk management and SME engagement under Avi’s leadership. Recent partnerships have highlighted the business’ success in supporting large corporates to engage their suppliers on taking measurable action on climate, which is becoming increasingly critical to unlocking carbon reduction and net zero progress.
In a Founder and Senior Advisor role, Steve will continue his involvement with the business, working directly with Planet Mark’s members and partners to accelerate the transition by energising their employees and engaging their supply chains.
