Barnardo’s to continue providing Independent Children’s Rights and Advocacy Services for children and young people

Barnardo’s has been appointed by the Ministry of Justice to provide Independent Children’s Rights and Advocacy Services for children and young people who are resident in the three Secure Training Centres and five Young Offender Institutions across England and Wales, following a competitive tender. The ‘Your Rights, Your Voice’ service will continue to operate at these establishments under the new five year contract starting from 1 January 2019. Barnardo’s Claim Children must be educated about hate crime

During Anti-Bullying week, Barnardo’s is calling for an end to homophobic, bi-phobic and transphobic bullying and highlighting the need to educate all children and adults about hate crime. The UK’s largest children’s charity is urging the Government to listen to feedback from its relationship and sex education consultation. Vital Barnardo’s services which help more than 300,000 vulnerable children will get a £1,027,745 injection thanks to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. A florist is coming up roses and creating special bouquets in order to raise money for the UK’s largest children’s charity Barnardo’s. Prestige Flowers, which has supported Barnardo’s since 2012, has vowed to continue raising money by creating a special range of bouquets in honour of the charity.
