Rio Tinto and bp sign one-year trial of marine biofuels

Rio Tinto and bp have agreed to work together on a one-year biofuel trial to help reduce carbon emissions from Rio Tinto’s marine fleet.  Under the trial, bp is supplying Rio Tinto with marine biofuel for approximately 12 months. bp and Clean Planet Energy reach agreement to help advance the circular plastics economy

bp has signed a ten-year offtake agreement with Clean Planet Energy, a UK-based company that is developing facilities to convert hard-to-recycle waste plastics into circular petrochemical feedstocks and also into ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD). Aberdeen City Council and bp have signed an agreement to form a joint venture partnership that will deliver a scalable green hydrogen production, storage and distribution facility in the city powered by renewable energy.
