Leading fashion brands and manufacturers are to transform the way they produce jeans, tackling waste, pollution, and the use of harmful practices, thanks to new guidelines published by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Students win award for creating a device which redesigns emergency care

Two design students took first prize in the ‘Student Design Awards’, in a category supported by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Maire Kane and Hannah Grogan adopted circular economy principles to design the ‘Personal Patient Pack’, a reusable medical device which stays with patients throughout their treatment journey, eliminating single-use alternatives, and designing out waste by up to 67%.
