WaterAid has launched a three-year partnership with the John Lewis Foundation, which will help empower communities in Sant Ravi Das Nagar (Bhadohi), India, where John Lewis & Partners carpets are made, by bringing clean water and sanitation to their communities. 800 schoolbags line the steps of St Paul’s in moving tribute to daily child deaths

WaterAid placed 800 children’s schoolbags on the famous steps of St Paul’s Cathedral today as a stark reminder of the number of young children’s lives lost every single day due to dirty water and poor sanitation. WaterAid invites churches to choose water not chocolate this Lent to transform children’s lives

This Lent, WaterAid is inviting church congregations to give up their favourite treats and donate the money they save to WaterAid’s Jars of Change appeal, helping to bring the gift of clean water to children living in some of the world’s poorest communities. Congregation members who make the difficult decision to give up chocolate, coffee or other luxuries during the Lenten season are encouraged to put the money saved into a jar of change and then donate the money raised to WaterAid. WaterAid announces new Global Director of Policy and Campaigns

WaterAid is pleased to announce the appointment of Sol Oyuela as Global Director of Policy and Campaigns. Ms Oyuela will join WaterAid on 1 April. Ms Oyuela joins from Unicef UK where she has been Director of Advocacy and Public Affairs for the last five years. She has also held senior roles at Christian Aid, CAFOD and Progressio, focused on advocacy, climate change policy and water resource management.
