PR agency heads positive for industry; overwhelmingly negative for UK economy in 2019

The PRCA has revealed the findings of the Consultancy Barometer Q4 2018 survey, in which PR agency heads are surveyed on business confidence, client budgets, and staff recruitment. In the last quarter, agency heads were positive about the industry’s outlook for 2019, but were overwhelmingly negative about the state of the UK economy. The key findings are: 34% of agency heads reported that clients had marginally or significantly increased their budgets. 44% of respondents said that budgets had stayed the same, and only 3% said that budgets had decreased significantly.…

WaterAid announces new Global Director of Policy and Campaigns

WaterAid is pleased to announce the appointment of Sol Oyuela as Global Director of Policy and Campaigns. Ms Oyuela will join WaterAid on 1 April. Ms Oyuela joins from Unicef UK where she has been Director of Advocacy and Public Affairs for the last five years. She has also held senior roles at Christian Aid, CAFOD and Progressio, focused on advocacy, climate change policy and water resource management. NSC Receives Grant from The UPS Foundation to Promote Women in Safety

The National Safety Council has received a $25,000 grant from The UPS Foundation to promote women in safety. In the U.S., women are 47 percent of the workforce. But they are only 18% of health and safety professionals.
