2020 Eurobest winners to be revealed and celebrated at Eurobest Unwrapped

The 2020 winners of Eurobest, the awards for European creative excellence, will be revealed and celebrated online at Eurobest Unwrapped on 10 December.

Putting European creativity on the global stage, the online show will be broadcast via the LIONS Live platform to reveal the 2020 winners while establishing the European benchmark in creativity. As well as announcing the Grand Prix and Special Award winners, Eurobest Unwrapped will feature commentary and insight from awards experts and the Eurobest jury presidents.

Commenting on Eurobest Unwrapped, Louise Benson, VP of Events, LIONS, said: “In a year where we’ve been unable to celebrate the magic of creativity as we normally would, putting European creativity on the global stage in this way feels like a really special moment. We’ve seen widespread participation which sends a positive message to the industry for 2021 and the future. I hope that Eurobest Unwrapped will bring a valuable moment for the region to come together as a community and celebrate creative excellence. We look forward to taking a deep-dive into the (at home) jury rooms to get key insights and a temperature check on the industry as our jurors set the new benchmark for creativity.”

As the judging of Eurobest begins, the Innovation shortlist has been released today with four entries making it onto the list. The shortlisted entrants will take part in a live Q&A with the Innovation jury in the next stage of judging.

Following the announcement of the winners on Eurobest Unwrapped, all of the Eurobest entries will be made available on The Work. Presented by LIONS, The Work is a learning and intelligence platform that features over 200,000 global pieces of work as well as 1,600 talks from a decade of Cannes Lions. Commenting on this, Philip Thomas, Chairman, LIONS, said: “Bringing the Eurobest entries onto The Work is a really exciting step for European creativity. It’s a rich digital resource that allows people to gather inspiration and knowledge through a wealth of case studies and talks. Adding the Eurobest entries to this not only gives European creativity global recognition but it offers the region’s industry a chance to gather inspiration specific to the cultures of Europe as well as an opportunity to benchmark at a regional level.”
