Hermes increases its CNG fleet to become the largest in the UK parcel sector as part of ongoing commitment to reduce climate impact

Hermes UK is adding a further 70 units to its fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuelled vehicles in a move to further reduce emissions.  This brings the total to 160 – around 50% of the company’s core hub tractor fleet. Carbon footprint a mystery to 9 out of 10 small businesses

Research published today by the British Chambers of Commerce in partnership with O2 has found that only one in ten (11%) responding businesses, of more than 1,000 surveyed in the UK, are measuring their carbon footprint. This falls to 9% for small businesses, and 5% for microbusinesses, with fewer than 10 employees. By contrast 26% of larger firms, with more than 50 employees, are measuring their footprint. State of pay: Gender, age and location pay gaps revealed by PRCA Marketing Census

A pay gap of more than £20,000 a year between male and female employees in marketing has been revealed by the PRCA Marketing Census 2021, as well as gaps between those working in London and the rest of the country. The average pay for men was £61,499.50 while women reported an average of £40,642.40 – highlighting a £20,857 shortfall for women.
