Crackdown on water firms sees millions invested into local action

Up to £11 million in water company fines and penalties will be reinvested back into a new Water Restoration Fund (WRF), Environment Secretary Steve Barclay announced in April.  All water company environmental fines and penalties since April 2022 have been ringfenced to directly improve the water environment. Rock Rail, UK Infrastructure Bank and Aviva launch £100m funding for bus leasing platform ‘Rock Road’

Rock Rail, the UK Infrastructure Bank and Aviva, through its in-house capital unit Aviva Capital Partners, have formed a partnership to provide a new funding platform for zero emission bus financier ‘Rock Road’. The partnership, alongside a debt facility from UK Infrastructure Bank and HSBC UK, is committing an initial £100m to fund up to 250 zero emission buses and associated infrastructure. British solar heat leader signs deal to manufacture products in the US

British solar thermal innovator Naked Energy has signed a manufacturing contract with ELM Solar of ELM Companies, an American Utility Services and Renewable Energy Technology provider.  ELM Companies has invested $3 million into the facility and equipment to manufacture the Virtu product range.
