easyJet has announced a new partnership with aviation technology provider i6 Group to deploy its eHandshake digital refuelling platform across the airline’s network, modernising the way fuel is ordered, delivered and verified. Solar output in European countries boosted by up to 17% on hot days, helping to meet higher power demand from heatwaves

New analysis from Ember reveals that solar output in European countries rose by up to 17% on heatwave days in June and July. This helped power the grid as electricity demand jumped by as much as a quarter on hot days. The analysis examines the impact of heatwaves on some of the power systems mostly affected.
