Providing sustainable finance to clients for their transitions

Since 2011, financing the energy transition has been part of BNP Paribas’ strategy and the Group has remained committed to steering its activities towards financing a carbon-neutral economy by 2050.

In 2023, BNP Paribas took another significant step and ceased all financing dedicated to the development of new oil and gas exploration-production activities. As this is a collective effort, the Group is dedicated towards helping its customers – individuals, professionals, corporates and institutions – contribute to a more environmentally friendly economy.

As a pioneer in sustainable finance, BNP Paribas supports these clients in their development and is committed to being the partner of choice for transition initiatives.
