Cameo Launches New Tool To Make Charity Donations Easier Than Ever

Cameo – is announcing an update to its platform, which will allow celebrities to donate their earnings easier than ever before.

With 81% of stars already intending to donate at least a portion of their 2022 income made through providing personalised video messages for fans, Cameo aims to build even further on the $1.5 million (£1.1 million) already raised by users.

The new Donation Tool within the existing Talent Wallet (which allows celebs to manage their bookings and fanbases) acts as a complete fundraising concierge, allowing celebs to:

  • Select one or more non-profits from Pledge’s database and display these on their profile page
  • Opt into Cameo Cares fundraising campaigns throughout the year
  • Choose a percentage of their earnings that they want to donate and do so on a recurring basis
  • Leave the distribution of the funds to the Cameo team

The tool is revealed as part of the re-launch of charitable programme, Cameo Cares, which includes a partnership with Pledge – the industry’s leading donation platform.

Cameo CEO, Steven Galanis, said: “Every year, we’re blown away by the power of Cameo for charitable giving. Cameo Cares will make it even easier for fans and talent to come together, affect change, and raise funds for causes close to their hearts.

“We’re happy to invest in a more substantial, longer-term platform to enable charitable giving year ‘round, and we’re excited that our partnership with Pledge will give us even more insight into how folks give back on Cameo.”

James Citron, CEO of Pledge, added: “We could not be more excited about our new partnership with Cameo to power fundraising through the new Cameo Cares program. As the leader in connecting talent and their fans, Cameo is paving the way for their fun and memorable experiences to now drive world-changing impact. We’re honoured to be Cameo’s trusted partner in this innovative endeavour that will benefit non-profits around the world.”
