The Terry Fox Foundation kicked off fundraising for its annual Terry Fox Run with the launch of a brand new fundraising portal, powered by Rallybound, https://rallybound.com. The run series, the third largest peer-to-peer fundraising campaign in Canada, takes place throughout Canada at over 10,000 locations.
The portal, fundraise.terryfox.org/terry-fox-runs, allows supporters to easily set up a personal fundraising page for the events. Personalized imagery, a photo gallery and deep social media integration are just some of the many features that allow supporters to showcase their connection to Terry Fox and drive participation and donations.
“We are thrilled to be working with Rallybound on this important technology. We want to be able to offer our Terry Fox community a great user experience and allow them to focus their efforts on fundraising more dollars for cancer research in Terry’s name,” said Britt Andersen, The Terry Fox Foundation Executive Director. “They have gone above and beyond to support our needs.”
Among a host of cutting-edge features, the platform features a completely translated interface for fundraisers and donors into French. It also meets Canadian tax receipting requirements, and all fundraising data from the thousands of events are synced with Salesforce.
The portal also provides special features for student participants, such as private, personalized fundraising pages, as well as tools to allow teachers to correctly associate donations to students and schools.
“The Terry Fox Foundation is one of the most recognized and important nonprofit organizations in Canada, and we’re excited to be part of its mission to raise funds for cancer research,” said Joe Magee, Rallybound COO. “Supporting such a large scale event series in 2018 and beyond requires innovative and ever-evolving technology and strong customer support, which is why Rallybound was chosen as The Terry Fox Foundation fundraising platform.”
