Charities including YMCA, Cat’s Protection, Cancer Research, and many others are hoping to transform the way people donate their items to their charity shops with a new partnership with Gone for Good.
Gone for Good is a free app that connects charities with businesses and the public, so that unwanted items are donated to good causes instead of being thrown away. Since its creation two years ago, the app has channelled £1,000,000 worth of items to their partnering charities. Along with seven other charities, YMCA is joining the #CharityVan pilot scheme in London to make it easier for people to donate their goods to their local YMCA charity shop.
The pilot will launch on Monday 22 October. Encourage people to download the app and try out the service.
