CIPR 2024 Excellence Awards winners revealed

Cowshed was the big winner of the evening as the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) celebrated its 40th annual Excellence Awards on Wednesday night. 

The Welsh PR firm took home four awards for their respective campaigns with Foster Wales and the Welsh Government as 500 people joined host Jason Mohammad at the Royal Lancaster London to celebrate the stand-out agencies, teams, and individuals across the public relations industry over the last 12 months. 

The PR Consultancy of the Year award was presented to Ready10 who also won the Sport or Entertainment Campaign for their Fuelling the Lionesses campaign with KIND snacks. Also picking up two awards for Corporate and Business Communications Campaign and Best Publication was phs Group for their work with Prostate Cancer UK. 

This year’s awards – sponsored by The JGA Group, Notified and Specialist Speakers – featured 30 categories, including a new accolade for Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle Campaign that was won by Liz Lean PR (LLPR) for their BEST DAY EVER campaign with Paultons Park. 

Elsewhere, Fanclub PR won Small PR Consultancy of the Year, iseepr won Specialist PR Consultancy of the Year, and the sleep company, Emma, won In-House PR Team of the Year. Crispin Thorold Communications took home the award for best Independent Practitioner while Tori Blakeman from April Six walked away with the award for Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year.

 

Wednesday’s awards ceremony was a true celebration of the exceptional talent within the PR industry. The winners and all those shortlisted have demonstrated the remarkable impact that effective, ethical, and innovative public relations can have on their businesses, clients, and society. Their work exemplifies the high standards and creativity that are driving our industry forward. In these times, when clear, creative, and impactful communication is more important than ever, it’s inspiring to see such dedication and expertise to this craft.
