Free Localgiving Membership for BT MyDonate Customers

Localgiving is offering a free annual membership to current BT MyDonate customers.

The online fundraising platform BT MyDonate will be ceasing operations in June, leaving many small, local charities without the means to fundraise online.

Localgiving’s offer is open to all BT MyDonate customers who fit their eligibility criteria until 31st July 2019. All BT MyDonate customers need to do to benefit is sign up to Localgiving using the Promotion Code ‘BT2019’ here: http://join.localgiving.org/BT2019

Unlike other fundraising platforms, Localgiving offers regular opportunities for charities and community groups to raise additional funds through match funding, prizes and small grants.

Over the last two years, Localgiving has supported its members with over 600 small grants, £400,000 in match funding and over 1,000 hours of dedicated mentoring and training to help them improve their online fundraising activities. Organisations can have their online fundraising page live within 24 hours and begin to access these benefits over the next year for free.

Localgiving is an independent, not-for-profit, organisation that has proudly supported local organisations with their online fundraising for a decade. Grassroots organisations provide unique value to our communities, and also have unique needs. This means that they require a fundraising platform that truly understands them.

“Our membership with Localgiving has made a huge difference to our organisation. The Localgiving page has enabled us to raise money from both existing and new donors in an easy and efficient way. We have had fantastic support from our Localgiving Development Officers, from phone calls, to training seminars, to gentle reminders of match challenges coming up. The support has enabled us to undertake fundraising campaigns when we wouldn’t have thought we had the capacity to do so.”

Sian Stacey, Bardsey Island Trust, Wales.

“Unlike some online fundraising platforms, who were ready with promotion offers, we haven’t been planning for this news – just like the thousands of charities affected. Last week, we were busy providing free online fundraising training to small charities across Wales and planning for our upcoming Local Hero campaign in April, which has £5,000 in prizes for our charity members. However, as an independent, non-profit organisation with a mission to support local charities and community groups we knew that we had to do something – we believe our range of services can make a significant difference to charities in comparison to other platforms.”

Chris Dormer, Managing Director, Localgiving.
