Save the Children Celebrity Cabinet Member and Board Trustee Gabriela Hearst and luxury fashion online retailer Mytheresa are launching an exclusive capsule collection to mark Save the Children’s centennial year. Twenty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the international humanitarian organization.
Evoking the modern, chic and minimalist aesthetic of Gabriela Hearts’s eponymous brand, the 18-piece collection comprises bold smoking suits, maxi-length dresses and skirts, and timeless coats and knitwear, making everyday elegance an effortless affair. The ‘Mytheresa x Gabriela Hearst’ capsule launched globally on Mytheresa on Sept. 25, 2019.
“When Michael Kliger suggested the idea of a collaboration. I was thrilled and honored for this opportunity. I wanted to make sure we were producing a collection that was meaningful, inspiring and beautiful at the same time,” says Gabriela Hearst.
As a board member of Save the Children, my mind went straight to Eglantyne Jebb, its visionary and founder, as we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Save the Children. The colors of the collection came from the iconic logo of Save the Children. Twenty percent of proceeds of this collaboration will go to support the organization’s Centennial Campaign. I have deep admiration for the past, present and future work of Save the Children. Over the past 100 years, Save the Children has changed the lives of more than 1 billion children, and with the funds raised through this special collaboration, we hope to give more children a brighter future,” adds Hearst.
Mytheresa and Gabriela Hearst will each donate 10 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the exclusive capsule collection to Save the Children.
