Fighting plastic pollution
To tackle the environmental effects of plastic consumption, Garnier has teamed up with two non-governmental organizations:
- “Plastics For Change”, which fights the social impact of plastic pollution. In India, the NGO is helping families to get out of poverty by paying people who collect plastic bottles for recycling.
- “Ocean Conservancy”, which combats the environmental impact of plastic pollution, especially on the world’s oceans.
To accompany the campaign, Garnier has posted a guide on its website to educate consumers about responsible choices that they can adopt in their day-to-day lives.
A long-term environmental commitment by Garnier
The “One Green Step” campaign also forms part of Garnier’s sustainability commitments, which include drastically reducing its environmental impact by 2025. This in turn echoes the commitments made by the L’Oréal Groupe as part of L’Oréal for the Future, the Group’s sustainability program for 2030.
