Lyreco Ireland joins Hey Girls to improve period dignity in workplaces

Hey Girls’ award-winning products will be available in offices across Ireland thanks to an exciting new partnership with Europe’s leading distributor.

Worldwide distributor of office supplies and workplace solutions, Lyreco, has introduced Hey Girls as one of its approved suppliers for customers in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Lyreco Ireland takes great pride in supporting businesses to achieve their green and sustainability goals, with over 3,800 products that meet their Sustainable Selection by Lyreco criteria. Now, Hey Girls’ period products have been added to that list.

Lyreco dedicates itself to leading the way in sustainable workplace solutions through their Lyreco Goodness philosophy, ensuring that social value and sustainability remains a central consideration in their decision-making.

Hey Girls are passionate about the environment and create period products that are both good for nature and your body. That includes ensuring products are made using natural, sustainably-sourced ingredients. Plus, as a Community Interest Company, we bring social value to all of our partners.

Partnerships and contracts manager at Hey Girls, Ailsa Colquhoun, said: “We are delighted to partner with Lyreco Ireland.

“It is clear that the Lyreco team shares our passion for building a more sustainable and fairer society and it is great to have Lyreco Ireland on board as a partner.

“Every partnership brings us one step closer to our ultimate goals of improving period dignity and eradicating period poverty. We encourage more wholesalers and distributors to do their part.”

Michael Walby, Head of Sales at Lyreco Ireland said: “We are very proud to be working with Hey Girls to help end period poverty in Ireland and remove the stigma around periods.

“Delivering workplace equipment is at the heart of Lyreco, but so too is our dedication to helping people and the planet. This new partnership with Hey Girls strengthens our commitment to building a better world for everyone.

“We look forward to helping our clients to build more inclusive workplaces and achieve their sustainability goals, while making a positive social impact too.”

Through the new partnership with Lyreco Ireland, Hey Girls has signed up their first community partner in the Republic of Ireland, Pieta House, a charity that provides free counselling to those with suicidal ideation, those engaging in self-harm and those bereaved by suicide.

Ailsa added “Community partners are the reason that Hey Girls exists. Through our buy one, donate one model, they are able to distribute our products for free to those that need them most.

“It is great that we are now able to make an impact in the Republic of Ireland with Pieta House and work towards creating a fairer world together.”
