Nominations open to be The Creative Shootout Charity Of The Year 2023

The Creative Shootout, the UK’s most recognised done in a day creative marketing awards for charity are back – and looking for nominations from UK charities to be their Charity Of The Year 2023.

The Dragon’s Den meets Great British Bake Off style competition sees agencies from the UK creative industry battle it out, live on stage, presenting a campaign they were briefed on by the Charity Of the Year only four hours earlier … and presenting it in just 8 minutes each.  The winning agency then goes on to activate the winning campaign for the charity, later in the year – propelling the cause and the charity into the national conscience.

Previous charities include UNICEF, Time to Change, FareShare, A Plastic Planet and Crisis. This year the spotlight is on the cost of living crisis, and the impact it is having on two vulnerable groups of society – the young and the elderly.

Johnny Pitt, Founder of The Creative Shootout said: “Over the years we’ve had some major causes recognised through The Creative Shootout.  And right now, the cost of living crisis is having a devastating impact on both the young and elderly.  So, we hope charities of all sizes and sectors will apply, whether they help with community programmes, access to mental health support, initiatives to heat homes, the provision of fresh food, meals, hygiene products or transport – the list goes on.  To nominate your charity, all we need is 223 words on why creativity will be important to your charity in 2023. Good luck!”

Following a unique any-discipline marketing agency entry stage, eight of the most creative agencies in the UK will be selected by a high profile judging panel and put forward to The Creative Shootout Live Final, which will be held on Thursday 26th January 2023 at the iconic Picturehouse Central in London.

Matt Downie MBE, CEO of Crisis adds; “The Creative Shootout is an award like no other.  Getting the best creative brains in the UK to focus their attention on your charity is humbling and energising, and we’re grateful to the whole team.”

To nominate, charities just need to email up to 223 words on why creativity will be important to their charity in 2023 to hello@creativeshootout.com by close 1st July 2022.
