ON Semiconductor announces the release of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility report, marking the seventh year of this publication. As a testament to the company’s continued commitment to transparency, ON Semiconductor has advanced from incorporating the global reporting initiative (GRI) report core version to comprehensive version for a second year in their corporate social responsibility report.
In the past year, ON Semiconductor was named as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the fifth year in a row, included on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (North America) for a second year, and included on Barron’s Most Sustainable Companies for a third year. The company has invested in new segments and placed significant emphasis on reviewing how the beliefs, assumptions, values and behaviors of ON Semiconductor align with the company’s goals of future growth and a thriving work environment for employees.
In addition to being a full member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), the company is also a signatory of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact and submitted their first Communication on Progress (COP) in April 2020 that outlines their alignment with their ten principles and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
In 2019, ON Semiconductor took their corporate giving and employee volunteer programs to the next level with the launch of the ON Semiconductor Foundation, which functions as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Foundation aligns with the company’s purpose, brand and culture, and focuses on extending the impact of their giving programs in the communities where employees work and do business.
