Qurate Retail Group Releases Second Annual Corporate Responsibility Report

Qurate Retail Group, a world leader in video commerce (“vCommerce”) across linear TV, ecommerce sites, streaming experiences and social apps, today announced the release of its second annual Corporate Responsibility (CR) Report. In 2021, the company made significant advancements toward its goal of inspiring a more sustainable way to retail that is intentionally inclusive, entrepreneurially driven, responsibly curated and waste-smart. Qurate Retail Group is part of Qurate Retail, Inc. (NASDAQ: QRTEA, QRTEB, QRTEP).

Qurate Retail Group puts trust and transparency at the heart of its business and has therefore set measurable, time-bound goals for its corporate responsibility program, focused on those challenges and needs where the company believes it can have the greatest impact. To maintain trust and transparency, Qurate Retail Group’s reporting follows relevant sector standards published by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and the company’s corporate responsibility commitments are informed by a materiality assessment and guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

“At its best, retail is more than just a way to fulfill our material needs,” said David Rawlinson II, President and CEO of Qurate Retail, Inc. “Retail is an opportunity to explore, dream and come together around shared ideas of what could be. In 2021, our team made tremendous strides on our long-term journey of putting our corporate responsibility vision into action. By leveraging Qurate’s ‘superpowers’ – our airtime, the reach of our digital platforms, our deep customer and vendor relationships, and our expertise in content production – we have been able to elevate diverse voices, improve the sustainability of our business, and have a positive impact on the many communities we touch around the world.”

“As a new member of the Business Roundtable, I signed the ‘Statement on the Purpose of a Corporation,’ a commitment by more than 180 CEOs to lead their companies for the benefit of all stakeholders,” Rawlinson added. “I look forward to building on this promise in the years ahead, working hand in hand with our talented community to co-author a brighter future.”
