In collaboration with the Department for Education, Regent College London (RCL) will offer the Modular Acceleration Programme (MAP) from February 2025.
Regent College London (RCL) is excited to announce the launch of the Modular Acceleration Programme (MAP), starting in February 2025. This initiative, in collaboration with the Department for Education, offers tuition-free access to selected higher technical qualification (HTQ) modules in Engineering and Digital Technologies, funded by the UK Government.
A pathway to in-demand skills
MAP is a two-year pilot designed to provide residents of England, aged 19 to 60, with practical and skills-focused education. Learners can choose from four 30-credit modules in Engineering and Digital Technologies, earning credits towards qualifications such as level 4 Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and level 5 Higher National Diplomas (HNDs).
Flexible, career-focused learning
The programme offers a flexible timetable that includes weekend classes with options for online or face-to-face learning, making it ideal for individuals with busy lifestyles.
Whether upskilling for career advancement or reskilling for a new field, students can tailor their education to fit their busy lives. Participants will also have the opportunity to transfer credits into full HTQ qualifications at their own pace.
In addition to academic support, RCL will provide all participants with access to a comprehensive student support system, offering guidance on study skills, mental health, and career and employability support.
A message from the Dean
Commenting on the initiative, Professor Ilias Oraifige, RCL’s Dean of Engineering and Computing, stated:
“Partnering with the Department for Education to offer MAP aligns with RCL’s mission to make high-quality education accessible to everyone. This programme empowers learners to advance their careers on their terms, and we are thrilled to support them every step of the way.”
