Registration is now open to participate in the Generation Equality Forum in Paris – a milestone global event to advance action and investment for gender equality. Registration will be open from Monday, 10 May, until Sunday, 27 June at midnight Paris time (CEST). Online registration is available on the Paris Forum website: https://forumgenerationegalite.fr/en/get-involved/register.

The Generation Equality Forum in Paris will be held from 30 June to 2 July. Heads of State and Government, international organizations, civil society, the private sector and youth organizations will gather to launch the Global Acceleration Plan for Gender Equality, announce concrete commitments and strengthen intergenerational, multi-stakeholder partnerships to advance gender equality over the next five years. Registered attendees will gain access to the Forum’s digital platform, offering the opportunity to attend nearly 90 events featuring 500 panelists and interact with tens of thousands of participants from around the world.

The Forum responds to the fact that the COVID-19 crisis has exacerbated gender inequalities, disproportionally impacting millions of women and girls, and reinforcing the urgency to act in order to accelerate progress. As the world begins to rebuild, we must put gender equality at the heart of recovery efforts. Twenty-six years after the landmark World Conference on Women in Beijing, the Generation Equality Forum will be a global turning point to advance women’s rights.

Media from around the world are also invited to attend the Forum and support the fight for gender equality. Media will undergo an accreditation process to gain access to a dedicated virtual space where they can make appointments for interviews with Forum speakers and view recordings of all sessions.
