RiverSafe partners with Path to Possibilities to sponsor underprivileged children in Africa

RiverSafe, a leading cyber security, data operations and DevOps professional services provider, has partnered with education-based charity Path to Possibilities to provide support and opportunities for children and young people in Africa.

Path to Possibilities seeks to break the cycle of deprivation for young people in Nigeria, through increasing  access to learning resources and sponsoring school children through their primary and secondary education. .

To support the charity, RiverSafe has provided donations to keep Path to Possibilities’ Resource Centre open, which provides a teaching space for children in Ikota. The Centre has had over 80,000 visits to date since it opened in 2017.

Through the Resource Centre, Path to Possibilities delivers scholarship programmes to teach foundational subjects such as Mathematics and English in order toset children up for the future.

Oseloka Obiora, CTO of RiverSafe, commented: “We formed a partnership with Path to Possibilities as we share the same fundamental beliefs – that education is the best way to give people a brighter future, for the betterment of everyone in society.”

“Partnering with Path to Possibilities allows us to actively support an initiative that equips young, disadvantaged children with the education they deserve. We are very proud to support the fantastic work they do and hope to continue our relationship, providing more children with access to learning spaces, teachers and foundational courses.”

Titilolami Bello, Founder, Path to Possibilities, said: “Our collaboration with RiverSafe has enabled us to keep our resource centre open to highly vulnerable children and young people. We are particularly grateful for the consistency of their support which has allowed us to welcome more children onto our scholarship programme and improve the offerings at the Resource Centre.
